We'll see how it goes, hopefully she lasts a good while before it ends up like your setup did lol. I will have the car tuned this week by jester untill all my parts come in about a week.

Hmmm....no offense, but maybe you need to call them back and let them know you have an X, lol.

This build looks like an 8/9 build by a lot of the items on there...including the MBC, LICP (why this over the UICP on the X, no idea....).

Also why the giant fuel system...aren't you on pump gas?

Ditch the clutch line and get the SSP MC2, you will need it with that clutch(which i also think isn't the best choice, but still a good one, ACT 6 puck ftw, half the price and holds more power). Also, I don't think anyone has Evo X fuel pump cores...but good luck trying, lol.

Regardless, the setup will be nice, but you might want to reconsider a few things.

AWD is a good shop so I'm sure the build will go fine. Revving out a stock bottom-end on E85 and a Red sounds suicidal to me. If you can afford to build it when it goes then nbd, I guess.

I agree with all of this...AWD is a great shop, they make mistakes though, it just sounds like they might of thought he has an Evo 8 with suggesting a few of the items on the list, lol.

Fully agree on the suicidal aspect as well, start saving money for when your rod snaps, its a fan experience.

I already have the UICP, full exhaust and intake. Giant fuel system because of e85. I know a couple people with the clutch that love it.

Murlo, how much power were you making on e85 when things went south? Also what broke, how and after how long, as well as what kind of use?

I've also decided the revlimiter is only being raised 300 to 7800rpm instead of the origional 8500 for reliability issues.

Ok, then only the LICP makes sense, lol. And E85, then yes, fuel system makes sense. I never said the clutch was bad, just trying to help you save a few bucks, i think too many people assume the twin's are the only ones that handle that kind of power.

My car was my DD...running 33psi on the Red. I am not saying your car won't be fine at similar power levels, but it has a strong possibility to go south. It's the torque that kills the motor, not the HP...450-460wtq was what did it. I had my red for maybe a month or a little over, but only like 2 weeks with the new 33psi tune on it.

Edit: I still don't think i agree with the MBC though...I would opt out for the 3 port option myself with psi based boost control.

Sounds like a good setup. Some people swear by using the ECU for boost control. It's easier to tune with a MBC, but arguably 'not as good'. If you're fine with it, and it saves the tuner an hour and thus costs you less, then it pays for itself. Just make sure you understand the side effects.

+1 for the SSP clutch master

You mentioned upping the rev limiter. If you're going with the Excedy twin HD, I'd suggest considering the version that AMS sells. It's converted to a push-style, which is more stable at higher RPMs.
