I'm pretty sure you can buy a heatshield by itself from some of the vendors on here.Originally Posted by laxplayer14

Ahh should have seen that earlier. Thanks for the link. The OP definitely should find that useful, and I would have if I didn't buy the aFe intake lol. Originally Posted by Clipse3GT

I have the Cobb sf intake on my RA and it works great! I had a AEM intake and switched to the Cobb sf intake and I can definitely tell a difference.

I love this intake. Went personally to their shop and picked it up! Drove to my work had it on within 5 mins and impressed within 10 min
. Its like a night and day difference once you throw it on hearing the turbo spool is one thing but leaning out our super rich car gaining some reliable power is another! cobb ftw!!!

laxplayer, you didn't have any issues? i read their bracket was for 08's and the 10's changed slightly and requires some modding to make it fit?
i havent installed it yet, jst came in the mail today. anyone have any install tips to those who already have it installed. im putting it on a 10 evo x btw

I am also interested in this intake. How do you like it? I know there are tons of threads on intakes but none seem to include the cobb sf with the AMS or Injen. how does this part compare to something like the ams cold air system... Maybe they are all about the same.
stageup, ill post the pics that i did take later, but they arent very detailed pics, and yea i just used a zip tie to keep the bracket and filter itself frmo constantly moving. it works well.
