Exclamation Need Opinions on how to QUIET DOWN Exhaust

My current exhaust setup is a UR o2/DP, UR Test Pipe with HFC, Buschur Bullet Cat Back.

First off let me say I love the way it sounds, very deep, but I get too much unwanted attention from cops, and at times it does get annoying driving around town.

I need some opinions on how I could quiet it down, I was thinking of just swaping back in my stock cat, but dont know how much it would affect the car power wise and it did get tuned with the test pipe/HFC so I dont know how it would affect that either.

or welding in another muffler after the bullet like a magna flow or something,
I dont really want to affect the cars current power all that much

Please give me some opinions on which route to go

Thanks

Buschur exhausts are very loud your best bet is swaping your catback for something like the hks legamax.

sell what you have and buy a Turbo XS... just about stock quiet... why did you buy a loud one to begin with?

Look into the new ETS quiet Muffler setup. Considering their V2 is so similar in design to the UR, you may be lucky enough to use their quiet-axleback option with your UR midpipe.

Didn't Buschur offer some kind of discount or trade-down program to get one of their new "Quiet" catbacks? I seem to remember reading something like that, but can't find the thread. Couldn't hurt to check in with them to see what they say.

A resonator may help a little bit. Mine made a small difference quieting the exhaust down. I understand there is little/no loss in power.

Resonators help with droning and a will quiet it down a bit, but if you really want to fix this probelm, get a different exhaust.

When I first got my X after selling my modified VIII it was refreshing to have a whisper quiet car. But of course it is a sin to not do some sort of exhaust on a turbocharged car. So I started out simple with just swapping out the cat for a UR testpipe. Sounded great.

Then added a magnaflow cat back with 3" flange because a lot of reviews here seemed it was fairly quiet. Call me a wuss but I found it unbearable. Drone? Loudness? whatever people will classify it I just wasn't happy with it. I was tempted to put my stock exhaust back on. So I needed to quiet it down.

I was skeptical to add a UR minimuffler testpipe becuase that muffler is so small. How much can it make a difference. Well it did make a noticeable difference.

Fast forward...passengers in the back seat still noticed a boominess in the rear. So I bought a vibrant ultraquiet resonator to install in the midpipe at the local meineke.

I know feel this old guy has finally found an excellent balance of volume and flow for my evo. No big shiny tips for police to grill, aggresive at WOT and sumpremly comfy at idle and road trips.
