Weird Turbo Fluttering Sound
Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about..
Normally, with the windows up and climate control off, I can faintly hear the "whoosh" sound coming from the turbo through the firewall.. but the past few days I've just noticed that while on constant throttle, the smooth whoosh then becomes turbulent sounding between 3k and 4k RPMS while in 4th or 5th gear - after which, the sound is drowned out by the engine noise.
This turbulent noise sounds almost identical to flutter dump, but instead of occurring during a shift change, it happens while I'm still accelerating (and not letting off).
Car is 100% stock, and everything else seems pretty much normal as far as I can tell.. just wondering if this is something normal, that I never noticed before - or something I should get checked out.
Thanks for any input

Sounds like your diverter valve is leaking. Make sure nothing came loose. IF your running excess boost the valve might not be sufficient. You can slightly crush it which will help it hold boost better.
