Hesitation...

Hey guys, I've noticed that in higher RPM's(like 5,5xx and up), my car will jus hesitate. Sometimes for a good half second(doesnt seem like much but it is when you're driving)

Would this have something to do with a boost leak of any sort? My thought on why it wouldnt be one is because I haven't noticed any power-loss until I just lose it for that second. My only mods are a O2 Eliminator DP, a Greddy SE cbe, and a Perrin foam-filter. Would this maybe be because I'm still running the stock cat? All that airflow through the big DP and then forcing it into a small cat? Could/will when I install my tp take care of this problem or would I need to take her in?

All/any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Nick

Could benthe first signs of the
stock clutch slipping....at least that's what happened to me...started in the upper rpm range, felt like hesitation at first till it got worse.

Well a stock clutch slipping should mean the RPM's rocket upwards in addition to the hesitation in acceleration. Also when a clutch starts dying it's usually when low end torque first hits in 4th or 5th gear at peak torque RPM.

I'm leaning more towards hestitation from plug gap being off or the tune being lousy from the factory until it got a reflash TSB update.

If you haven't been tuned or modified the ECU at all then it's absolutely the ****ty factory ECU settings. Mine did it horribly for 6 months until I got it tuned and it hasn't did it since.

BTW the dealership wouldn't flash my ECU even though there was a TSB out for it so good luck.

BTW you should get your car tuned asap. I got mine done and gained +53 whp with only a CBE and air filter replacement. The car drives like a rocket now when it felt so sluggish from the factory.
