What's with the red marks on every single bolt on the car?

when i was getting the cars oil changed today i noticed there is a red mark on every single bolt on the car. from the suspension to engine to exhaust system.

is that so the dealer knows the bolt has been tampered with in case of a warranty claim? if so, can a dealer even deny warranty based off that?

just curious..

The marks are to let the person who put the part on at the factory know it was put on and torque to spec! It's just a quality keypoint...

Quality check. Verification of proper instalation. They don't do that here in the USA. I can understand your confusion due to never having seen that before.

most of them are torque seals - meaning the bolt has been torqued properly - you may also find loctite, a brand of thread lock, on some low torque items to prevent them from backing out accidentally

That's the Mitsubishi employees way of verifying that "Yep, low quality easy to strip Mitsubishi bolt is installed".
