any advice for refunding warranty?
Hi ,
I would like to get some advice about my situation 10yr/100000mile warranty.
Here is the situation. I bought used evo x from dealership last spring and It came with full warranty. That means pre-owner bought full warranty and sold to dealership with it. When I bought the car, dealer said my car had full warranty.
So, I paid car price without financing.
Here is a question.
Even though I am not a person who paid full warranty, is it possible to refund?
if so, How much can I refund? Do I have to call the dealership?
My car has 18000miles and I already have bolt-ons.
Any suggestion will be appreciated it. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's possible to ask for a refund for something you didn't buy in the first place? But with my experience with extended warranty, they usually give you a window of only 30-60 days after purchase for a refund. But you're more than welcome to call the warranty company and ask!

I bought my car witht he extended warranty and returned if AFTER 4 months realizing I will not need it. I was given a pro-rated amount back. They pro-rate based on time and miles separately, and give you whichever is lesser.
In your case, you should have got paperwork from the warranty company (not Mitsu) stating you are now covered for this car through them. Check with your dealer properly again. If they are hesitant, ask them who the warranty company is and contact them directly. Have the VIN handy. They should be able to help you. The dealership's got nothing to do witht he refund of the warranty. Its a contract between the owner and the third party company direct.
Hope that helps.
