I would suggest the ETS> They have a great sounding system, then they have their ultra quiet system. I have an ETS system on my IX and I absolutely love it. Quality is great, fitment was perfect, and performs awesome. I know I have not seen anyone complain about the ETS exhaust on their X's. My vote goes to them brother.

So go with their full 3 inch system. 3.5 inch exhaust piping is not needed.

As long as it is resonated, you wont have a problem. If you were to run a test pipe, it gets pretty loud. My car is hella loud to me, but not as loud as some would think. Just dont put a test pipe on it if you dont want the car to be to loud man.

Depending on the HP level of the cars setup, a 2.5" vs 3.0" is not going give up that much. With that being said, noise levels from one exhaust to another is purely subjective. I have a Legamax with HFC combo which suits me. In my opinion, an ETS v2 with HFC would be a great setup.

GO for the Hi-Power. I have it on my X and it sounds great. Idle is not too loud, but you can really get a nice throaty sound between 2-3k rpm and under boost it sounds fantastic. AND 3" piping... Downside is cops like the 4" tips quite a bit.

Where did you get this info? The ETS Quiet muffler bolts right up to the existing ETS V2 system.

The V2 ETS exhaust is freaking loud, make no mistake. I haven't personally heard a Hi-Power yet, but if you want loud, the ETS exhaust is going to be hard to beat. Their quiet was needed very badly because a lot of us didn't want the loud exhaust.

Get the Hi-Power. It's not loud, but loud enough that you won't feel like you wasted money. It is a 3" exhaust and it looks mean from behind. Everyone who has an evo and has heard my HKS Hi-Power says it sounds awesome and not as loud as they would have thought. Plus you can get it shipped for $660 on ebay.
