If you're already built, why not? I'd love to see some results, and as mentioned above pics and vids!

with all the technology and advancements with turbos in the last two-three years

I really can't say a 42r is the practical or best solution for an evo

This.

42r never was the right choice for the Evo in the first place but with all the good options floating around lately with significantly better spool, there's simply no reason to buy a turbo this big...

+1, it would def be cool to see but unless it's strictly drag and wanting 1100+wheel,.. I'd sa just go with 3794 or 6765. I mean The 3794 has done 920whp. Should be enough for ya. Or hell if you really want to be different be the first to toss one of the new Borg warners on a X.
Extended tip, daul BB, boost control, billet wheel, diverter valve, 44mm internaly gated, Ti exhaust wheel,...WHAT?!? All test to 45psi. Just sayn

Ok well what is a better turbo to run this car was built for the purpose of drag racing I do not daily drive the car and very rarely do I drive it on the streets I just thought a 42r would get me to around 850+ to the wheels reving the car to 9200

With GT3586R's making over 800 WHP with significantly less lag and space consumption why go 42?

I don't like the 6262 I have now I made 670 at 36 lbs I have to get it fixed under warranty from precision again caause the seal goes bad and it loses oil into the downpipe which plumes smoke out the exhaust

Is your 6262 journal or ball bearing? Many people in my area with hondas and supras have had great luck with PTE turbos that have have the ball bearing center. I say skip the 42r and go for 6765.

if you're wanting to avoid precision, get a gt3586hta. About the same power levels of 800+, and better spool than a giant 42r.
