I have the Prolite but I agree with everything that you said. I have 9k on the stock CMC but keep a Magnus on the shelf.

Well couldd you both elaborate on why you think the flywheel is a waste of money

Do you feel that way about all aftermarket flywheels even the ACT streetlite?

If so, why?

I put the streetlite in my car feels great. To me flywheels are cheap enough where you mind as well put a new one in instead of try to turn a stock one.

But to each their own.

Is that the lightest of the flywheels act, or is that just the one that weighs just a bit less then the stock one?

streetlite is slightly lighter than stock, while prolite is quiet a bit lighter.

I believe fidanza is more like the prolite. I was going to use the streetlite.

Exedy twin comes with its own flywheel.

Please correct me if applicable.

the act street lite fly wheel is about $350. it weighs 8oz less than stock. you can tuen the stock for about $45. save $305 yes materials are different, the oem is steel and the act is chromoly. if you get your stocker turned it will be same weight as the act streetlite. hope this helps.

Hd plate here. Use the part number murlo posted if your wanting to go with the sprung 6 puck. You'll like it. Just add your choice of flywheel which ever u chose will be fine. If u were closer I'd let u drive mine so you could see yourself before you buy. Good luck though.

Exedy twin HD got over 10k miles of fun driving. very easy to use. Even my wife can drive it no problem and she had some knee surgery recently.

Got the SSP MC. I just didn't want to be stranded one day.

Thanks I wish I was closer so I could give it a feel before I jump right in. But I have heard tones of good things about it so I going to give it a go

Thanks for all the good info

I have an ACT HD with 6 puck sprung. The pedal is not heavy and you will get used to it. I have over 400whp and it holds fine. I DO have lockout issues when shifting at high rpms. My car is a DD and driven several miles every day. I will admit that if I had to do it over again I would have purchased an Exedy twin but the price for the ACT was hard to pass. Go for the twin clutch if you can afford it. JMO

I'll throw my 2 cents and agree with this quote: basically I have the ACT 6 puck sprung disc with HD pressure plate and it's lasted 40k miles so far with mixed driving. The car is my daily driver and I got used to the on/off switch effect although as the clutch is aging it seems to have settled down a bit. What really screws it up is washing the car off in the winter then pulling it into the garage. The next morning your brake pads will have rusted to the rotors and you can burn up your clutch a bit breaking it loose so avoid that scenario! The car still chatters a bit when trying to slip the clutch while in reverse or a steep incline. Drag launches when newer were fine but now it's a real balancing act between slipping with chatter and bogging.

Not to tempt fate I'm upgrading to the Exedy Twin in the next month or two as well as upgrading to a taller final drive. Since my co-driver absolutely hated adjusting to the ACT 6 puck clutch I figured I better try a more streetable option for the 2011 One Lap of America event.

Thanks for more input, I really don't want lock out issues at the track and have read of a few others. Guess I'm going to have to give this more thought.
