Adding a test pipe brings psi up?

Hello, i have a question. I got tuned about 2 months ago and i decided now to get an exhaust. I was tuned for 24lbs and it was a conservative tune. If i add a downpipe back exhaust will it cause the psi to go up. I have a mbc and i just want to be on the safe side because i dont have a boost gauge. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The test pipe will probably increase boost about 2psi over what you're tuned for now. If you have a MBC just dial it back down a bit.

The best way to adjust boost is always adjusting it up and not down. So, simply turn it down a full couple of turns and then slowly turn it up 1/2 turn at a time until you reach your tuned boost level.

If you have an X, the best bet is to get rid off the mbc and go back to the factory boost system.
