Limp mode?

Alright Mitsubishi just "reflashed" my ecu for the recall or whatever a few weeks ago maybe a month now.
This morning im driving to work feeling good so i decide to get on the car abit and im in 5th under boost then the check engine light goes on....
I heard no sounds then i realized the car had no boost so i quickly slow down drive to work not in the boost territory around 2-2.5 rpms. Park the car keep it running pop the hood no weird sounds or anything looked out of place. so i turn the car off go to work.

Start the car up at the end of the work day Check engine light is still on i figure i have no warranty so the cars not going to Mitsubishi im driving it home. The car drove normal all the way home with the check engine light on. I even got on it a little bit to see if it would boost in 4th gear boosted, BOV worked, fine everything fine.

Now my question is why would i go into limp mode? My cars fully stock i don't even have gauges installed yet i just have a turbo inlet pipe why all the sudden would i go into limp mode which im pretty sure i was in.
and how would i get rid of my check engine light so if anything really is wrong it will just come back on.
