OEM TO bearing with Spec clutch?
OEM TO bearing with Spec clutch?
Would there be any reason not to use the OEM bearing with a Spec clutch?
The reason I wanna use the stock one is cause I have a 2011 and as far as I know, I'm the first one putting on a new clutch. I only have 5.5k on my car, so the TO bearing is still in good condition. I know something with the clutch system changed cause the engagement point on my car is different than a stock 08 clutch.
So would using the stock TO bearing be a good idea?

You can use the stock one as per spec. I was at a dealer yesterday and the retaining clip popped so they asked if they could use a stock one and a stock TOB, so called spec and they said yea go ahead. The dealer is putting stock on the customers car. Hope this helps some.
i put 3k miles on a CCI stage 3 with the CCI TOB and had to tear everything down because of the rear main seal leaking but noticed the CCI supplied one was already noisy and moving around quite a bit. i know that im comparing a TOB that has been used to one that has never tasted the inside of my bellhousing but even the one i pulled out of the car after 30k miles wasnt as noisy. i know this isnt something that is exclusive to CCI provided TOB's but i think ALL aftermarket clutch companies need to either not sell their clutches with them or simply provide the consumer with a genuine mitsu TOB so that no noise and slop insues.
