Not if you are using the Severegear SVG 75w90 it already contains fric mods,

now if you are using severegear 75w110 or 75w140 you should not need any fric mods, but if you hear chatter then its reccomended to use the ASMOIL slip lock fric mods,,, but i have not seen this issue in evos,,, only with the 6.0L turbo diesels

I use amsoil severe gear in my T/case, after 15,000 miles hard use with it I stripped my t/case for strengthening and it was in such good condition that it's a testement to the quality of oil.

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 is better thing i feel. Haven't had great experiences with Diaqueen. see what works for you.

When I talked to Shep after they finished my tranny, (should be here in a few days, can't wait) they only recommend OEM Diaqueen for the T-Case and rear diff. They told me to use Redline MT90 in the tranny.

I just did a fill with Redline Lightweight Shockproof. See how it goes. Never had any problems with Redline products in the past.

Also, did MT 90 in the trans and not only does it shift better but it is much quieter as well. I'm not saying it will quiet a trans, just did for me. As I think mine was pretty noisy.

Just a little update here. I have had Amsoil in my rear diff, tcase, tranny for a few months now and I am confidant in stating that the car drives better than ever. I have used their oil for a few years now with nothing but amazing results so I shouldnt have even thought twice about throwing everything amsoil into my evo

this is a mega bump but i have a shep t-case and i broke it in with diaqueen and have ran amsoil severe gear.. can't raelly tell a difference either way. the rear diff i still run diaqueen cuz its a cusco and asks for straight 90 gear oil, otherwise i dont think there's any problem.
