Carbon build-up inside downpipe?

Question Carbon build-up inside downpipe?

I just got a used Perrin one piece HFC. It is in great condition, however, there is somewhat excessive carbon build-up inside the entire length of the pipe. It was used by the previous owner for less than a year. Should I be concerned?
