"Darkn3s" EVO 8 --Nose Chop mod

well finally i got a chance to do the "nose chop mod" on the viii.. let me know what you guys think. I tried to take several pics of this process so that ppl that attempt this in the future will have something to reference to along with other threads out there

Is it just my work computer or does only the first 4 pics work??

I wish I had done this, instead of going with the 9 front bumper.

what did you use to do the re painting. i want to do this on my car but i lack the tools needed lol.

i cant wait either.. im looking for a evo9 replacement grill.. not really trying to dish out 107$ for just the grill and no emblem.. smh

are you worried about the bondo cracking?

I like how you rivitted the sheet metal to the bottom.

I think I'm going to attempt this it doesn't look hard at all.

I'd like to combine the techniques of yours and others though. I think I'm going to rivet a piece of sheet metal like you did, but instead of using bondo, I want to plastic weld on a filler piece.

what specifically did you use to smooth it out? I've been contemplating this, but am afraid to use something inflexible, as I don't want it to crack.

if you get the good "bondo" which is a term bdoy shops will not use! lol If you get the good stuff, it is pretty flexible. You will want to be careful with that part of the bumper, just for safe measure though. I am prolly gonna do this to my 8 bumper soon. It looks amazing!
