take a look at this

is this normal for the belt to look like this after 20k miles? i never tracked or drag the car..just occasional spirit driving. it all started after i got cams installed (cosworth mx1)...occasionally on a cold start i hear a scratch for a split second in the motor. i didnt find the source of the scratch sound until now. but i can't find where its rubbing even when the motor is running.if i get new belt installed its just gonna scratched up real fast..so any fixes and experiences from this?

Definitely not normal for the belt to look like that at 20K miles. Possible issue with a pulley not being aligned properly causing the belt to rub?

get a new belt on there and see what happens, they cost about 20 bucks. Check to make sure nothing is interfering with the belt path that could potentially rub.

Either a pulley is not aligned right or the belt is not all the way on a pulley.. like the last "rib" is hanging off the side of one pulley.
