AQ Motorsports Intake Review

I'm new to the forums and have been reading up and educating myself on my X over the last few months. I found a lot of the information very useful, so here's my review of the AQ Motorsports Intake (previously Harman Motive) on my 2010 WW GSR.

I read tons and tons of posts on every intake out there, I was looking for something of quality design/construction, available in black, and under my budget of $300. So I decided on the Intake system from AQ. I ordered directly from there website, I had a small delay where my order got stuck being only confirmed for 5 days, I quick phone call cleared it up and they had the intake at my door in 3 days.
Everything in the box was packaged very well, only I was missing the 4 smaller hose clamps shown in the directions for the BPV relocation. I didn't bother calling and just got them from work.

I did the installation in my friends driveway with basic handtools, instead of at my shop to gauge the install difficulty for anyone reading who doesn't have access to a shop. I'd rate the Install difficulty 4/10, 1 being easiest. It took about 45 minutes, following the directions step by step. The BPV relocation hoses had to be cut to length and the CCV hose from the engine was a tight fit. Overall quality of the parts and fitment was excellent. I bought an AMS intake shield ahead of time, because I use my A/C regularly here in S.Florida. I started and drove the car 5-10 miles with the A/C, car ran great. Soon as the A/C kicks on, very rough idle. AMS shield took 5 minutes to install, problem fixed and looks great.

Currently there is no Cobb ots AP map for this intake, the reviews I've read had people using the AEM and AMS stage 1 -(91/93) maps. The intake and AP are my only current mods.
I installed the AEM -93 stage 1 map first because people reviewed that it felt stronger and than the AMS map, and I agree it does. I drove about 25 miles with each datalogging both about 5 times each. Knock was fine on both maps and they each hit target boost, about 23.4 and 23.6. I continued my testing on a 500 mile weekend trip. I drove the first 250 with the AEM map and second with the AMS. Here's why I would reccomend not using the AEM map.
Fuel economy on the way over was just decent, average 23.4 on 12.3 gallons. The LTFT at idle was 2.7 and cruising at 60-70 was 9.8 (60mph) to 11.3 (70mph), ouch!. The AMS map on my way back rural driving speeds 40-60 got 27.3mg and an idle LTFT of 0.4 and cruising 3.1. The second have of the trip home cruise control set at 70mph for 165 miles was LTFT at idle 0.00, cruise 0.4. Mpg on 2nd have was 24.8, tank average was 25.4mpg on 11.9 gallons total return trip.
The Intake is very closely designed to the AMS intake and map so far works great. As far as fuel trims go I only know what i've read fromt he forums, but it sounds like its not a great idea to run the AEM maps, others doing so might want to log there LTFT. I hope this review was helpful and not too long.

Does anyone else also have this intake? I also just bought a AMS heat shield and I'm about to buy this intake, hopefully more owners can chime in.
