Lots of good street-friendly mild upgrades available such as the WORKS CK1/2, Clutchmasters FX200/300, Spec Stage 2/2+...and the list goes on

Question Clutch Slipping?

I think the clutch is starting to go on my evo. I'm getting 1kish RPM spikes when I open up the throttle especially in the higher gears. This is my second manual and I've never had a clutch go on me before so I was just wondering if there's anything else this could be?

Also my car is still totally stock so if it is the clutch what would you guys recommend in terms of a replacement?

Yea no problem. I ordered the clutch from modern automotive performance (great guys to work with) I also ordered a map flywheel. I got the spec 2+ because I do some drag racing but not to much and plan on doing some track racing. Once I got the car back after the install I noticed a slight vibration in the clutch pedal but nothing serious. Started driving the car and he clutch grabs hard. It took me a while to get use to the engagement point but once I got it down it was like driving a stock evo. (the pedal is just a little stiffer than stock). I daily drive my evo and has about 30,000 miles and about 5,000 since the new clutch and I couldn't be happier. I hav yet to do a hard launch with this clutch but I will after I upgrade the master cylinder. I would recommend this clutch for anyone who is dding there car and doing some moderate racing. I think this clutch is great and suits my needs. Hope this helps you out.

When you say racing, are you just referring to drag? Or do you think it's necessary / suitable for road course as well?
