I think from the pics and oil consumption its obvious the piston/wall clearances were too loose. IDK what else to say

well I dont like to speculate, but could poor bore surface preparation cause all of that?

This is why i have had such a hard time with the running lean that erl wants everyone to believe. I see no obvious signs of a extreem lean condition. When I look at the picks in the 1-9 forum of Hollywoods bore it looks to me like there may be the begining of the same signs of wear in his bores but it could just be me trying to see something that is not a issue. I would like to see some opinions from other shops on this.

Ya really dont drive a Evo X you push it around in the shop
