Just got my evo, its an '08 X. At times, cold or heated up, the idle drops to about 500-700 and just bounces for a bit, then goes back up to around 1k. I am running a BOV and venting, but have read and been told that that shouldn't affect anything. I did test drive another evo that had a similar issue, and it had the stock BOV. Is this normal?

 

I have the same issue as well on my 08. It happens every so often. Nothing to worry about.

I believe its the 08's only that have that problem some times, some of them fluctuate a little during idle, i may be wrong though, either way like it was said above, nothing to worry about.
