At least no fires. When my rod went through my block a bunch of wires caught on fire.
But most likely it's was your tune but going over 400whp you need head bolts. That was what I was told when mine blew. Now build a sick motor.

When mine failed (On a stock block IX) it left the piston at the top of the bore as well.
Piston pin had ripped clean then got excited and left the block. I was ~400 wtq on a MD
on E85.






Similar piston event failures but my rod took a lateral trip.
