Stock everything, slipping on stock clutch while launching?

Does the X have some sort of anti-tranny shock valve on the clutch like the 03+ WRXs had designed to keep the transmission from getting destroyed during a launch? It seems like the clutch just burns itself instead of gripping during a launch.. I can't get the car to do anything.. Maybe it's the S-AWD?

are you letting the clutch out slowly during a launch, hence the slipping, or are you just dumping it?

there's a little black plastic restrictor in the clutch slave cylinder that keeps fluid from releasing as quickly as it would normally. pull the line off the slave and remove the restrictor. then bleed system and you're done. much better clutch grab after that.

I really wish car companies would stop doing this. At least it's easy to remove : /
