+1 keep the parts, but could be expensive if you need to rent monthly storage for them right

Save it for when you return to stock.

Sounds like just about everyone is saying to keep them, but for those of us that want to sell (ours are never going back to stock) is there a good place to sell them? I've got a stock exhaust (2013 GSR) and a downpipe with extra bung welded in (2008 GSR). Anyone scrap theirs? If so, how much did you get?

I don't throw anything away once I take it off my car(s). Everything is boxed, and in my basement. You see so many guys on here and other places, scrambling to buy OEM Parts to put their car back to stock.

My car is too high of a mileage and too old (and driven) for it to be worth anything in stock form (especially after this winter's build) So I sold my catback for $150. I know I'll never be putting that thing back on. Haven't missed it since.

I was lucky enough to find a buyer for mine. I think I got $50 bucks for it. Better than trashing it..

When I get my ETS exhaust installed soon, i'll probably bring back and keep my OEM exhaust in storage.

If you know how to weld, chop it into a few pieces and weld V-band flanges onto it to make it more compact for storage. This is what I did for my 8. The exhaust is very compact to store now, and is easy to throw on for smog purposes.

I usually keep the stock major parts as well but if you plan on keeping the car forever, in which most people don't, then you could sell them. When I rebuilt my 1998 GSX I sold or scrapped out the parts that I replaced since I'll never get rid of the car or want to go back to stock form.
