Clutch Master FX300
So I finally got around to installing a new clutch this past weekend. The Clutch Master FX300 Stage 3 was recommended to me by Adam at MAPerformance. The FX300 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a Steel Back Segmented Kevlar disc. I was told this would help the clutch hold more torque and power while retaining easy drive-ability. Turns out it was true!

I feel like this clutch should get more love and attention. The feel of it is amazing. I don't feel any increase in pedal pressure and yet it's suppose to hold up to like 150% torque increase over stock.
I paired it with a Competition Clutch Ultra Lightweight Steel Flywheel and they're a great match together. The flywheel is about a pound or two lighter than stock. At first I was scared to get a lighter flywheel and wanted to resurface the stock one but turns out this one (at least paired with the Clutch Master FX300) feels just as good as a stock setup.

Still in the break in period, but so far I've got about 200 miles on her and I like it
Any other X owners looking for a new clutch and flywheel set up while keeping daily driving comfort, check it out.

I think doing that and then later trying to lift the tranny back in were the two hardest parts.
And to answer your second question, had to take off the crossbar but not the subframe.

If you link me to hollywood's instructions I'll read through it when I have some extra time and I'll let ya know.
Yea the clutch holds a little better due to the material (kevlar) and pressure plate design. Feels good. I have a Magnus CMC upgrade in my garage but haven't put it in yet. I might sell it and get the new AMS CMC upgrade though....we'll see.

Also because of the materials the clutch is made of, breaking it in properly is key. With any carbon or Kevlar clutch, you should make sure to break it in properly for a 1,000 miles. Or else you'll prematurely wear it out.
