Not all intercoolers are created equal!! core comparison pics inside!!

We're a huge supporter of Precision products as well as their intercoolers. I had another intercooler come in so I had a chance to take a pic showing the fin density of each. I just wanted to show that not all bar and plate intercoolers are the same. Precision core have a higher fin density which does make a difference in cooling the intake charge.

This is a Precision 750hp AS1026 core looking in from the end tank

This is a competitor's core used by many shops around the country in multiple different markets. These cores are cheaper than precision or garret cores and while they still work well, they are not the same

by saying "This is a competitor's core used by many shops around the country in multiple different markets" and not actually stating the ic ur comparing it to, you basically made a completely useless thread

Not useless. Its a good warning to research products because there is cheap stuff out there.

Thanks for posting OP and thanks for not calling out competitors also. The better way to compete and win is by showing how your parts are good, not by throwing mud at other companies.

I agree. What exactly are you saying? Would you happen to have any statistics to go with this comparison?

BTW I totally agree with your overall point of researching and not just buying an IC b/c it's $200 on eBay

My ebay intercooler handles 30 psi on 91 octane and stock turbo. Don't believe all the smoke that's being blown up your as$es gentlemen.

Umm... there are hard statistics out there to prove that other innercoolers are more efficient than the ebay cores. Its not blowing smoke up anyone's backside. Its proven facts. If you like your ebay core and support china made crap, thats all you buddy.

OK? This proves nothing. You realize no matter how efficient an intercooler is, you will never get below a few degrees above ambient temp right?
