Tarmac - Gravel - Snow

I believe these settings just alter the differential settings somehow correct?

Would there ever be a reason to run anything other than Tarmac for 1/4 mile blasts?

Thanks!

tarmac keeps the power 50/50 with the front and rear, gravel is 40/60, and snow is 60/40.. if you wanna do a 1/4 "blast" u have to turn traction on fully off and put it in gravel mode

That's completely wrong. It's always 50/50 no matter what. The different modes change how fast the diff locks up when it detects wheel slip

Evo will never be 40/60. All the power goes through the front diff before it can get to the rear. It is a front wheel drive car for a split second until the center diff locks up. Those three settings control how hard the center diff locks up.

not true... all the power goes trough the centre diff where it is split 50/50... Tarmac/gravel/snow modes deal with the way the center clutch pack limits slip and the way in which the rear AYC diff shuffles torque left and right..

for launching it doesn't matter which mode you use... if anything , snow will be your best bet...

This is correct as acd simply delays engagement/ allows some slip. Never has it actually spilt torque/powe away from 50/50. Its easy to look up on evom. Their is a great thread on here explaining function and components i reccomend a good read!

if i was at home by my computer and not on my phone i would have posted a link for you
sorry maybe someone else could or i can when i get home later tonight/tomorrow

"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

I mean, if you are unsure on this, why even post?? Posts like these just confuse the hell out of people. Were did you even hear that??
