New owner of Gumps PTE 6765 2.3 here

Hi guys

I just got Gumps old Evo x home this weekend. Chris gave me a great deal on the car and what he went through with it could have soured anyone on the car. For those of you not familiar....

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-aem-ems.html

Either way its in my garage now. This is my first Evo and I love the car.

My question is this. I am having the car tuned at Maperformance in the next few weeks. I am going E85.

How much hp and tq should I push this unsleeved block to. The car will not be tracked or abused badly and I never shift over 7.5-8k rpm or so and limiter is set at 8.5k rpm.

I am thinking of pushing it to 700 whp and 475-500 tq. Do you think this setup would last maybe 7-10k miles. I may sleeve the block in the future but not this year. Keep in mind this will be on E85 so running nice and cool and the giant turbo doesnt hit torque to hard and this should be less than 30 psi

I appreciate your thoughts on this. I have searched and searched but there doesnt seem to be any real line as far as the stock sleeves

Hey Chris

I exchanged some emails with Nick today and as soon as we hammer some things out and you guys have time the car will be in your hands for a few days.

Looking forward to seeing your shop and working with you guys.

She had the uncontrollable smile on her face after the first few pulls she felt.

You should've just bought my car, sleeved 2.2L motor, better for those levels and revving on a turbo that size

But still a beast for sure, MAP will get you sorted.

I wouldn't push it much past 650whp on stock sleeves imo but its your car

ETS did make over 800whp on stock sleeves and its still running too, not sure how often at those levels though.
