Need some input.. Coolant/radiator problems..

Hopefully yall can help me out..

About two and a half years ago my X was in an accident, and after I had it back for a while, I started to notice that my stock radiator hoses would almost "pinch" together after my car cooled off after long drive. The radiator had been replaced due to the accident. I started a thread on here and concluded maybe one of hoses needed to be replaced or wasn't on correctly or something. I bought new silicone hoses and replaced them and went on my way.

Fast forward to today, I still have this problem. My car has NEVER EVER overheated. There is always plenty of fluid in the resivour, although it seems that the resivour isn't really being used by the system because it stays slightly over-full.. But when you open the radiator cap, it allows/sucks a ton of air in like it is holding pressure very well but the fluid is quite low. Also, I have not refilled the radiator in Atleast a few months so it's not like its running all the way empty. I have a slight antifreeze smell, so guessing it is a tiny leak somewhere even though there it isn't big enough to make a puddle, so I guess my question is what is your expert guess as to where my car is leaking? Tiny crack in the radiator? Bad radiator cap?

Any crusty build-up amongst any part of your cooling system? Also, have you shined a light down to your engine undertray to see if theres any coolant puddled there?

This sounds exactly like a restriction in your small hose from your coolant reservoir. Blow that out completely and make sure all openings are clear. I had this problem in a vehicle (non-evo) after using some radiator stop leak. The little chunks that were supposed to plug up the leak actually ended up plugging up the small hose hole and starving the system of coolant.

Hmm.. I wonder if it could be something like that.

As far as any leaks, no I have never seen any puddles on the undertray. I even had my undertray ripped off a little while and still nothing.
