turbo kit for safe 400whp?

Hi guys, my wife just brought a evo x brand new, after 3000miles she saids she wants more power, I did some research and figure its better for me to stay under 400whp with stock engine. Here are the question, which turbo or turbo kit is best suit for quick spool and will hit my goal.

PS: Where i lived doesnt provide e85

MAP EF2. Mine's in the mail right now but based off of everything i've seen it should get you over 400 at the wheels.

The ets t3 is not a good choice right? Since the turbo is a lot bigger than stock

go with a ball bearing FP Green, you will hit your goal really easy. I got the BB FP Red and im at 423hp on a conservitive tune. Tons more room for when i build the engine.

Mostly bolt on and OTS tune, I'm making 358whp/374tq. I don't have the tubular exhaust manifold or cams/springs/retainers yet. Stock turbo. And that's not on a protune. Protune would yield higher numbers.

MAP EF2...stock-like spool and response, but easily capable of 400+whp. I'm currently sitting at 416whp on mine with stock cams and 93-octane pump gas.

What dyno are you guys making these whp numbers on? Doesn't it make quite a difference if it's a DynoJet or Mustang?

Do you have the stock mani? I don't have 93 where I live, what do you think the same set up will make on 91?

Subscribed.
Very curious about this as well.
Guessing a MAP EF2 doesn't require other mods like Manifold/IC/Piping/etc... if you already have a full TBE?

Mustang.

I made 411whp with a ported/coated stock manifold and 416whp with a MAP short-runner tubular (fatter mid-range, no loss in spool or response).

Required, no; beneficial, yes.

and thats why i dont go to a real dyno. My Cobalt SS/SC read 15hp difference between a dynojet and a mustang. Virtual Dyno is +/- 10hp from being "accurate". For me personally theres only 2 AWD dynos near me. One is 2 hours away which i refuse to do buisness with. The other is 4hrs away. So $70 in gas to get there, $125 for 3 pulls and $70 in gas to get home...defently not worth it to tell me something thats only off by 10hp.
