We can get it sleeved, in fact I have one in stock as an example of how they turn out. Let me look for pictures.

you can always order a sleeved block from MAP or AMS. At least those would be my first choices, unless there was a competent builder that I knew in the area. Unfortunatey, its tough to find a good machine shop/builder especially for a newer platform like the 4b11

I literally asked Ivey if he'd do that and he kept beating around the bush. I guess I'll call tach motor or turbo trix. I Really hate how complicated this is getting haha..

Thanks for the help as well.. I just want more power safely.

Edit another annoying thing is sending your core.

We'd need a core at this time. I dont think I have a spare X block to sleeve right now and send out. I can always look and see what I have though.

Theres a reason its called the build process.

I agree that sending in a core would be a hassle, buts its not more of a hassle than installing a new shortblock only to find that it has low compression, burns oil, or spins a bearing during break in.

You get what you pay for, that is especially true when sourcing a built motor. Saving a few dollars in the begining will most likely cost more in the long run.

Place a call to MAP and AMS, see what kind of deal they can work with you.

OR

if you can go to one shop and one shop only (keep in mind this must be a reputable one with many builds under their belt) you can do everything in house, build, install, tune ,EVERYTHING. that way if something goes south there can be no finger pointing.

We do everything but actual machine work, we rely on the best machine shop in the NW for that. All our assembly is in house though, fab, tuning, etc.

The block I posted the picture of is a prototype Golden Eagle sleeved block. We have used them for all our Honda stuff for years so it was logical to use the machine shop that perfected the process in Hondas. We send that to them (SoCal) and get it returned in a timely manner for the build process.

Trust me you don't have to preach to me about all that.. I've spent over 30k+ with Ivey and on my car. And have waited months through the 2.2 build. I understand it takes a long time Im just looking for someone to help me and not bull**** with me. I even asked Ivey if I bought the block sleeved from ams can you install that, but every time I get no response back.

So Im just looking for someone to help me and not treat me like an annoying kid, and sending me in circles.

Ivey won't touch anyone else's parts. Period. Sad to see but that's how they roll.
