Axle Help

Hey, pulling my motor out in the garage and I'm having trouble getting the axles out. I tried prying on the t case with no luck. And there isn't anywhere to pry on the transmission side. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need a really long pry bar to make this easy. Stand directly below the part where you're prying and look up. You should see a bolt notch on the engine block you can use to pry with. It usually takes a lot of force even with a 3+ ft pry bar.

For the transmission side, you can shove the tip under the axle where it connects on the bottom side.

Don't ever try to pull it out on the outside end of either axle. You can damage them, and it's expensive to fix.

+1 on an actual pry bar.

On the trans side, I slid a 15-17mm deep-well socket in just underneath the axle and then used that for the leverage point. Popped right out.
