Well I just so happen to have an OEM one for sale 08 gsr ! Check the thread . Anyways I would recommend aftermarket if you have upgraded clutch or your car still isn't under warranty. It's expensive as hell and time consuming job for install. I use AMS and it's perfect no issues

If you have an upgraded clutch in your car I would recommend installing our CMC upgrade kit as the stock unit will probably break again in the future.

CMC Kit

Feel free to shoot me a PM for pricing and any other question you might have.

I've got an ACT HDSS going in tomorrow and I can't decide if I want to do the CMC, as I've read that most all with this particular clutch don't blow the stock CMC. I got a great transmission guy that'll actually install the CMC for $200 which from what I undestand is pretty good.

Should I go ahead and get the CMC?

Uh... if you got someone to do that and do it right, I'd jump all over it haha.

How much is labor typically for a CMC upgrade install? Is it better to do it while replacing the clutch?

The dealer quoted me $800, and two other independent shops quoted $200-300. From what I found on other threads $400-600 is the norm.

Yes, it's better to be safe then to wait it out and have it happen down the road. Then you'll just sit there and kick yourself for not doing it. I did that when I put my twin disc in and broke my second stock CMC.

I've had the Magnus CMC kit installed for 15k miles with an Exedy Twin HD and it's still going strong. I proactively upgraded the CMC when I had the clutch installed and it was a great decision.
