Zfr 3" intake anyone?

Curious if anyone has this or has seen it in person. Pics look nice, plus it has a 3" turbo inlet piece. Here's a link http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZFR-EVO-X-EV...6#ht_500wt_689

That intake in the picture looks exaclty the same as the AMS intake. The difference is that the ebay one comes with the turbo inlet. It sounds like a good deal, but I'm not one for unknown brands and such. I'd worry about fitment and quality of the pieces.

I took a chance on it and got it. I payed $220 shipped. I saw that it looked really close to the AMS intake. Once I got it I took measurements and compared it to the AMS and its the same. It even came with the K&N filter like the AMS one. its stainless and does not come with breather bungs. I drilled out two holes and put I rubber grommets so I could hook up my vac lines. I also have a cobb tuner and just put in the AMS intake map and it works fine I haven’t had any problems with it at all. It sounds just like the AMS intake, Down side is you dont get the heat shield.

So fit and quality was good? Also how was the inlet piece, that's the main attraction to it being a true 3" right to the turbo. Just get nervous when you google it or search anywherr and can not find anything on it. Do you have a pic of it installed and what you had to do for the vac lines?

Rather than sending a PM, post publicly so we can all gain the knowledge. I assume the inlet elbow must taper from 3" down to the stock inlet size to fit the turbo properly?

I didn’t use the 3in turbo inlet. I figured AMS didn’t see a need to so I didn’t see a need to either. As for the vac lines I put in 2 rubber grommets ( can get them at Lowes), Then just hooked up the lines to the intake. Make sure your rubber grommets fit tight and you shouldn’t have any leaks. Down side to the intake is it does not come with the heat shield like the AMS one and the screw holes for the air sensor are a different thread pattern so your stock screws won’t work. It is made from stainless and its pretty tough the finish looks pretty good as well.

It looks good, don't really like the idea of adding the vac lines though. Thanks for adding some pictures.
