We do not use genuine MHI housings based on both cost and availability. With that being said, there are several suppliers for aftermarket housings and they are not all created equal. It's likely this video was prompted by our recent posting about a handful of wastegate flapper issues that we experienced and have since rectified. Making a reliable, high performance turbocharger without using the OEM turbine housing is not only possible, its already being done. If you're sending in an EVO 8/9 turbo please inspect your turbine housing for the damage pictured HERE. If the turbine housing has this damage we can not use it for the upgrade and we can sell you a new one but this is subject to availability.
