First build...what's next?

Hey guys! This is my first build on my 2012 EVO X. So far I have:

-Cobb SF Intake
-Injen UICP
-Cobb Downpipe
-Cobb high flow cat
-Cobb AP (running on stage 2 93)
-Works short shifter
-Stage 1 Exedy HD Clutch

****I am considering two things. I love the sound of the ETS V2 Extreme so I really want that exhaust and after I get that I might put the Injen intake back on and get a protune****

Asides from all that. What should I start on next?

Thanks!!

A catback should definitely be next for you, along with some IC piping and a FMIC. A nice intercooler will go a long way. For the protune be sure and get a 3-port boost control solenoid too.

Be careful of the ETS V2 Extreme though, that is one LOUD exhaust. I would highly suggest something quieter...but that's just my personal opinion.

As far as bolt ons go, before getting a tune wouldn't getting a bigger intercooler be one of the last steps? also, just from quickly scanning the COBB website, does the downpipe also replace the 02 housing? If not, the only other thing I could think of is swapping that cobb DP and going with the AMS widemouth DP or something equivalent. One more thing, after noticing you threw a short shifter on it, why not do the under hood shift bushings ?

That's a serious setup there for a first build, legit list of parts to start off with. It's going to make a huge difference. Ultimately, you will look for more power though :P

Negative ghostrider on the intercooler comment. A higher capacity IC with matching piping can give you up to 20HP untuned on a stock car and the benefits don't end there.

There is a chart where they tested the temperature of the intake charge on a stock Evo X and at 7000 RPM it's in the neighborhood of 80 degrees. With the aftermarket intercooler mentioned it was a tad over 50 degrees which is basically same temp as idle. An almost 40 degree difference of temps nearing redline its not just good performance but good insurance. That's one of the main reasons why I'm moving the IC and piping up on my build list.
