Stage 3 installed today. Bypass Valve Flutter

Not a bad install really. Took my time. Downpipe took some patience. Short impact bursts with a 1/2" extension, 3/8 knuckle, and 3/8 shallow socket on the turbo outlet (broken studs scare me). All went slick. The o2 sensors even came out without cussing! Lesson learned from my 9 MR, spring clamp the rubber hoses on the 3 port so they won't pop off.

I flashed the stage 3 93 octane map. 93 is what it says at the pump anyways.
Picked up 4 knocks right away on a warm engine, then no more at all.
I am getting a bypass valve flutter running it hard while pulling up a hill. Any ideas?
I'll make a few more runs and see what boost the AP shows when it happens.

This is my second Cobb TBE install. First was on the '06 MR with Injen piping and Megan outlet housing, Injen intake with a TTP installed Forge MBC and Scott tuned it. If I got BPV flutter, I'd back off the Forge until it stopped. I crushed the stock BPV a couple of tenths of an inch. It let me run a bit more boost with no flutter. I never found out how much crushing it would take so 2 or 3 tenths was all I dared.

Any ideas? The AP is pretty cool. I wish the gauges update rate could be selected. It's a bit distracting with decimals and hundredth's flickering.

Cobb Stage 3
TBE:
Cobb downpipe
Cobb high flow cat
Cobb quad outlet muffler and extension pipe

Cobb 3 Port Solenoid
Cobb intake with silicone turbo inlet

Other than that, stock. Brand new Advan S Drive's with a 300 tread wear rating should get me more highway miles than the stock 180's that showed cords at 16k mi. !! No shake at all up to a buck-thirty.

Thanks!

I installed a Cobb 3 port solenoid about a week ago, and get the same. I haven't had a chance to run data yet, but from what I understand it's normal. My old 06 WRX did this on Stage II and it ran great.

I was overboosting and getting boost spikes while on both the Stage II 403 and LWG version when I installed my TBE, added the solenoid, and it's helped, though I've seemed to have actually lost power from Stage I. It's inconsistent, and often doesn't seem like it's boosting at all.

Downshift and you should be fine, I run stage 3 on 93 OTS also and I get it if I'm in 5th going 40ish uphill.
