The EF2 is a great turbo and is not being replaced, these are two different turbos. The EF2 is still going to be the spool/response king, and at this point the EF2.5 hasn't even been tested so who knows how it will actually perform. You have nothing to be upset about, you bought a fantastic turbo that serves is purpose very well and you're getting exactly what you paid for, a turbo with near-stock spool/response that shows a nice power increase in the upper RPM's

i will post my graph with the ef2.5 and only an intake, tbe, injectors and a fuel pump on 91 octane. mine will likely be done around the first of the year as the turbo wont be here for 2-3 weeks.

FP is the only distributor contracted to sell this Mitsubishi EVO X turbo upgrade. So if you try calling Mitsubishi Turbo USA, they will tell you to hang up and call Robert at FP.

Is this what everyone is talking about?

http://store.forcedperformance.net/m...=Lancer-TurboX

$1700

The stock evo x apparently flows 36-37lb and this one is rated for 54lb, as the pic shows 450hp so easy 400whp. If this is correct then there is no point of paying another $550 for a green.

So anyone one a budget, granted they can get ~$400 for their used stov evo x is looking at $1300.

Here is the most disturbing part! Evo X HTA71 that is going for $999 apparently flows 51lb, that is only 3lb less!!! 3" surge cover included and only MHI parts. I see no reason getting anything but this, after selling your stock evo x thats $600 for the upgrade.

Please someone tell me I'm wrong because I'm about to pull the trigger here.

Don't forget the EF1 stock turbocharger upgrade that MAP offers for $649.

I'd be very curious to see some dyno numbers for this new turbo for sure. I'll be shopping for an upgrade in a few months, so more options are always welcome.

Hmmm...what is this?

A second compressor cover you say?

Both covers have a 3" inlet for maximum airflow so that alone is a nice upgrade vs. the EF2, but we're also going to be testing standard vs. anti-surge to see how they compare. Stay tuned for data this weekend...
