I will agree with Metal my buddy Rick just installed a ETS V2 quiet he has the ETS Down pipe recirculated and resonated test pipe. It has a nice growl at idle near stock sound it doesn't resonate at speed and then let's you know it's not stock at wide open throttle. If you we're just going with their CBE you don't need to be tuned, the build quality of ETS's parts is second to none and you are not just paying for a company name. If you retain the stock cats it will be plenty quiet and it looks a lot better than stock.

Also early morning starts wont wake the neighbors.

Another plus, You can pick up the quiet catback and later on if u wana be a jackass and wake up the neighbors you can pickup their Extreme rear section and change them out in 5 min.

Sadly I cant seem to want to take the extreme off anymore so my quiet section just sits around! hahah
Soooo.... Do you want to sell this quiet section of the exhaust since it just sits around?

I haven't seen or heard anyone run this kit but it sounds like something you might consider. It seems like it would work for your needs, but its kind of hard without a sound clip. just my 2cents

If they do what I think they do then this will sound pretty much exactly like it did before.
just a little growlier...

what I think they do:In the muffler there is a flapper valve on a spring thing that routes the exhaust through an extra set of baffles when there Isn't much exhaust pressure. when there is more pressure it opens and exhaust goes though a shorter route with less baffles.

I cut my muffler open and removed this flapper thing and put some more holes in one of the pipes in the muffler when I was feeling adventurous one day. Then welded it back up.
It did sound different, but wasn't really louder I would say. maybe this helps?

They give a description with a picture on their site of what they do, but without seeing it first hand or a clear before/after im not entirely clear of what their process is. They claim to improve flow and peak HP/TQ.

What youre saying makes sense, but if the exhaust is still routed the same as stock, while under load, I cant see how there would be any flow improvements that would physically improve power, with the method you describe. Aside from maybe the holes you drilled.

Can anyone further explain this image? To me it doesnt make much sense because Ive never seen it in person, aside from the obvious flow direction, lol. How does this compare to factory setup? Is anything clearly changed/removed?

That looks like the stock muffler.

^it is prior to them cutting the center tube out of it.
im running RRE's "sideways bling catback" its basically the magnaflow catback but the sharp bend into the muffler is smoothed out and its full 3". As far as sound goes it sounds stock to me from inside the car, my buddy said when i took off all he could hear was a mad rush of air being forced out of it (he was in his car windows down). out side it has just a little more growl than stock, no highway drone.

I drilled the holes in the center tube.

and it looks the same to the stock one.
In the very middle section of the muffler was where the flapper was that I ripped out.

so what they do is they cut that center tube out so that initially when the exhaust comes in, so it doesn't have to go as far I'm assuming?

I've got an 08 GSR and I've been looking into getting an exhaust. i've pretty much narrowed it down to buschur. the crossflow i've been told is not much louder than stock and has an awesome sound. It is also very cheap for a catback. david bushur is also very active in this forum and i'm sure you could send a message and get really good details about his products. check out this video

Got cobb quad tip exhaust, its quiet and stealthy so no cop trouble, has deep thirsty sound, and great fitment. Over all very happy. That's with ams test pipe.

I was considering Buschur crossflow as well along with ETS V2 Quiet, but it looks like crossflow may be bit louder than V2 Quiet.

I've got the ETS V2 standard. It's a little loud but passes the wife test. I've got to imagine the V2 quiet would work for anyone looking for an "aggressive" quiet exhaust.
