Cel - p0068

Hey guys -

I recently got the following parts installed and tune on my 2011 Evolution GSR as seen here - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...hp-313wtq.html.

I'm receiving a P0068 every once and a while since I got the parts installed a tune. It usually only happens when I go full throttle through a couple of gears and then I clear it, and it's fine for a while. I've cleared the code about 5-6 times now via my CobbAP.

I've looked on the forums here and on evoxforums.com, and I've seen a mix of causes. Some people have said it has happened to them once, they turned their car off and on, and it has gone away. Others have said it was due to a bad MAF sensor. Some say it's due to a boost leak.

Instead of going on a wild goose chase, I wanted to see if anyone had any specific experience with this issue.

I have one popping up too. But mine is P1235. map sensor plausibility. Alldata says it could be a bad sensor or because of throttle bost damage. Mine only occurs at WOT. Clean the sensor and check your throttle body. I did the same and then disabled the code.

Thanks. How did you disable the code?

Cobb race. its a program you can download through the Cobb site. all you need is your AP on hand for the serial number. Request the edition you want and they will send it to you via email. download the program. Open your current map or make your own. Go to advanced parameters and it will give you the option to disable certain codes.

Thanks. Does anyone else have any input on this?

Some people get a CEL after a tune due to the increased airflow (boost is increased)....the extra metered air flowing past the MAF sets it off...its just the car thinking something is possibly wrong. Nothing to worry about...clear the code, the ECM should learn and the light should stay off. Enjoy your tune man.

Thanks for the response. However, this has happened about 7 times already and the car usually goes into limp mode after it happens. If I could get some confirmation that this is not a big deal, I can try and disable it.

Ultimately if there's a real problem with the MAF or something that could be damaging to the engine, I don't want to disable the code and then do some serious internal damage to it.

YUT0351, is this what you were referring to in term of "Cobb race" - http://www.cobbtuning.com/Mitsubishi...p/atr-mit.htm?
