At what HP point do you need to upgrade the fueling

I read that the Walpro and bigger injecters are needed to pass a given horspower mark...what is that horspower mark?

Heard it's a bit of a pain to install...yes / no?

For now I'm trying to only bolt on stuff thats easy to bolt off in case of a warrantee issue..looking at intake, UpIc, catback, highflow cat, tune...figure around ~330 wheel horspower and some good response and sound...Would I even be close to meeting the fuel limits of the stock system?

thanks in advance

On the stock turbo you'd never need to upgrade unless going E85

currently im on stock turbo with 10.5 hotside(23lbs) with 95% IDC (stock injectors) pumped by a walbro 255. im sitting at 360 to the wheels and ive ran out of turbo, and obviously cutting it close with the injectors. to give you an idea now in about a month itl be another story!

WOOOPS! just realized this was in the X forum my bad!

Hi Pale, same boat as you with bolt ons. Called a couple of shops around. General consensus is at that point with an Aem intake on my car is we're borderline in needing a fuel pump. Another shop I spoke two had two previous customers x's fuel pump die out on their dyno. The other two shops I spoke with said if planning for a few more pounds of boost then the limits of the fuel pump are getting tickled. Take it with a grain of salt, good luck with whatever you decide to do. Personally for me I went ahead and bought the DW fuel pump and had it installed for future upgrades/tunes, and peace of mind.

If you plan on tuning the car.... then doesn't that kind of ruin the worrying about warranty statement? I don't know about you, but my mitsu dealership checked my ECU every time I went in for warranty issues. I would just take off my exhaust and intake. But a tune is harder to hide.
