2012 Evo X Rear Noise

Before the normal guy comes in and says SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH I promise I have spent the past 2 weeks reading and testing.

So about 2 weeks ago I started to notice this clunking/clicking noise from the rear of my car. Almost sounds like the right rear of the car to be exact but could just be there rear. Car is a 2012 Evo X GSR with 8K on it and full motor bolts with stock snail. Tuned by Moore Automotive to 350HP and 360TQ on a DynoJet. The noise starts only after the car is warmed up and driven for a couple minutes. The noise completely stops when the brakes are applied but reappears shortly after a bump in the road or change of surface. I have checked all tires and hubs to make sure they were mounted good when I installed my winter tires to get ready for the snow season since the stocks wore out on me so fast. Here is a video of what it sounds like.

Any help would be sweet!

Does the vehicle speed make any difference in the noise?

does it shake the car at all or the only reason you would know it was there is the noise?

warped rotor? ABS light on? wheel bearing? vibration in the brake pedal while decelerating?

There is nothing I can feel in brake pedal or steering wheel. Rotor does not looked warped at all, no abs lights or any other lights ever since I bought the car, and I checked the wheel bearing when car was on the lift no play what so ever. The thing is when I press the brake everything feels normal and the noise stops completely

Well darn, I just read you already found the problem. I was getting ready to post that it sounded like your pads clanking against the rotor and your shims were probably worn out.

Oh well, at least you got it figured out.

Is the OP still here?? I have the *exact* same problem. Clicking from rear, possibly right rear, issue goes away with the slightest application of the service brake.
Can you elaborate on what was wrong with the brake shims? Which side, and what did you do to fix it?
Dealer is stumped, went as far as replacing the rear diff under warranty!
