Exclamation Replacing Headgasket. Which Thickness?

Hey guys, long story short, its time to replace the headgasket in my 8. I've been seeing different "thickness" on the headgaskets, which i already know could lower or raise compression.

I have an 05, and i will be decking the head since i think i lifted it, hence the leaking headgasket. This is my first time doing so. My goal is to possibly increase the compression just a tad bit. Now i don't know or cant find out anywhere the Stock headgasket thickness.? I'm going with a Cometic Gasket but don't know which thickness i should go with when and after i deck the head, to gain just a little bit more compression.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also had a question about the Main studs??? I'm replacing my headstuds with ARP but i seen that ARP also has MAIN studs?? What do those hold in place??

A little bit more info on the engine.. Hopefully my plans go accordingly with what i already have. its tuned on 30lbs of boost, E85, stock 8.5 turbo, 1050 FIC, Walboro 255, stock bottom and top end.

Can i still raise a tad bit compression and be ok?? I know lower compression is Best for higher Boost pressures but just wanting to see if i can still get away with raising the comp?

I heard Cometic is garbage, I just finished mine and went with the evo 9 gasket, its .040 and 5 layers, the 8 gasket is .026 and 3 layers. you just have to widen a few holes to match everything up

Running The Evo 9 HG would probably bring me to almost around the same CR, i'm assuming. It would probably be best to have that 9 HG then when i drop off the head at the machine shop so they can make sure everything lines up fine..

yes, also be prepared I think most shops have to take the valves out to machine the head. I got new valve seals and head gasket from MAPerformance and car has been doing good
