Unhappy Puffing White Smoke Out From the Exhaust

I hate to say this that my exhaust is puffing alot of white smoke. Noticed it yesterday, but I thought it's normal because it was kinda cool and it's just warming up. Well today, it's puffing out more so I know this isn't normal anymore.

I checked my plugs and they seem normal to me. I also checked my coolant reservoir to see if any oil is mixing with the coolant, but negative. Finally took off my radiator cap off to see if there are any coolant in it, well it look empty or too low. Now I am thinking I have blown my head-gasket and causing the coolant to leak into my combustion chamber. (probably that's it?) But my coolant temp. is normal so I don't know if it's gasket or not. I doubt the cylinder wall crack because I am not mixing any oil with the coolant, but I am going to do compression test to double check. Anyone has a clue? I probably need new head-gasket.

Btw, I am only boosting about 5 psi (no more than that).

It's late and I am tired, hopefully it's not a deep problem.

For a first response, how about an oil analysis ?

if it is your head gasket I wouldn't run your car anymore.

yeah I would go with your oil. you sure it's white and not kind of on the blue-ish side? you also might want to check if you have too much oil.

Oil is your best guess right now. You could be frying the piston rings.

I'm gonna go with head gasket. The white smoke is the telltale sign...

Let's pray you didn't hurt the head or block...

I am pretty sure it's not blue.

My coolant is way too low, so probably my head gasket is blown up, but temp. is running fine

Remember the recall for the fan controller? People that have experienced the problem have said that the water temp. gauge on the cluster did not show that the engine was overheating.

Well here is my 2nd thought, I know that I am running with oil/water cooled turbo, so might as well check it too. I took off the intake piping and look at the air inlet, there is oil around it, is this it? Probably I blew my turbo? I don't really know, I haven't checked if I'm still boosting. Should I?

How much oil is on your inlet turbo? Is it alot? If it's just a few it should be normal. I'm guessing that since you oilcool and watercool your turbo, you can check for leaks on your radiator and pipes. Also, I'm concerned about the oz oil/temp gauge if it's working or not. There was a recall about that a year ago about the fan controller.

Unfortunately we don't have the oil/temp gauge. It's a water temp gauge and it sux.

Stock water temp gauge is ***. If you're gonna worry about it, get an aftermarket one that actually tells you the temp.

Before you rip everything apart buy a compression tester and check the compression in the cylinders. It should be at least 180 (IIRC, someone correct me if I'm work). It could be you have a coolant leak into your turbo, since that's how you're cooling it.

It's also a oil temp per say cause if your water overheats and so does your oil...

Thats what I did. My last car water temp gauge said it was always fine, but I had the $$ foe a temp gause so I bought it and it turned out that my engine was overheating after long trips because my fans didnt work at all.

Not really, you can barely see oil there, so I guess it's normal like you said. Probably I am going to take turbo apart again to make sure everything it's tight. Btw my a/c fan and radiator fan are working properly.
