Misfire in 4th cyl

I just got a code today for a misfire. I can definately feel the misfire, and i'm not positive, but i think i hear a knock during every misfire. It happens mostly at idle or under very low throttle acceleration. As soon as i give it more gas to accelerate faster, it seems like the misfire goes away. I'm not sure if its still there, but i don't feel or hear it anymore.

Only problem is i have to drive back home tomorrow morning (4 hr drive) for thanksgiving so i don't have time to do much with it. Someone gave me an idea to swap the 3 & 4th cyl spark plug to see if it is just the plug if it spits a code for a diff cyl. Also, i don't have a computer to test the codes and all the stores are closed tomorrow........ Plugs are only 9k old. I pray to god its an ignition issue and not a fuel issue..

FYI, i did wot through 1st 2nd & 3rd earlier today, letting the engine bounce off the rev in between shifts (SST). Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Mods: Injen intake & uicp, AMS dp, test pipe, ETS extreme exhaust, 3 port, & a 300 hp tune from Kozmic in houston. Car was tuned when it was 100 degrees outside. Its 30 now, so not sure if it makes a diff.

i found the problem guys. The insulator on the 4th spark plug fell off. Its just hanging out on top of the electrode. The color of the tip is itentical to spark plug #3. I find it odd though that it would only misfire at idle and low throttle inputs..... I need to find a new NGK before the stores close STAT!!!!!!

So the only ones they had in stock were the bosche irridium. My question is, is it safe to run the car on my 300 hp tune on the bosche? Or should i get the irridium as soon as reasonably possible. I'll be driving 4hr's today on the bosche in the 4th cyl.

False hope, friends. All the sparkplugs that Autozone & O'reilly's refference WILL NOT fit in the evo engine. The bosche that they have in stock are too short and fat to fit in the threads.

I'll repeat, the ONLY spark plugs in the United States that will fit the evo are the NGK or Mitsu OEM. No autoparts store carries the NGK's in stock. It is an item that is listed as special order for ALL of these stores.

If you're reading this, i highly reccomend everyone keeps 1 spare sparkplug in their garage for situations exactly like this. I'm missing thanksgiving due to a sparkplug. How ghey is that???
