hey all quick question. what would a good price be to get an ams cam cap line honed? I have to get this done a second time but by a more experienced machine shop. I was quoted around 1500-2000.

 

Not sure but when I tried to get a 4g63 line honed I couldn't find anyone that would want to do it.

Maybe contact ERL? I'm sure AMS knows a few people who could do it.

 

Any update on this?? I have a couple of caps that aren't broke but have some gouges in them...advice much needed

 

Hey, I had to get my AMS cam cap re-line honed and some repairs done due to it being done incorrectly the first time. I spent 1500 to have it all repaired and done correctly, so I'm not what a price just for the line honing to get done.
