Order the V2 quiet & Ets HFC resonated test pipe. I just want something that sounds sporty. After weeks watching and resources the ETS is the choice without breaking the bank the quality and performs is seems to be the right think for this Evo

I've been thinking about going this route with my mods also

 

I run the quiet with their catless test pipe....it honestly isn't quiet. It doesn't drone, but it certainly isn't quiet.

 

If you have this setup (ETS V2 Quiet & ETS HFC) let me see videos

 

I chose ETS V2 quiet full turbo back with recirc dump downpipe. At first I got it with the straight through test pipe and found it wasn't quiet at all. After some more research and talking with my tuner, I decided to try a resonator on the test pipe instead of a HFC because no re-tune necessary w/ resonator and no restriction on power. I had it welded on and now it sounds perfect! My Evo x is a DD and and now it sounds chill when I want it to, but still sounds mean when I get on it.

If you want a quieter exhaust, the V2 "quiet" isn't really quiet unless you go with the HFC or resonated test pipe.

 

I am going the same route because ran into an evo with the regular turbo back and it was just too loud. I can't find a video of one with the cat less test pipe, so I'd really love to hear yours! I want to be quieter, but not totally quiet.

 

I think your going to be pleased with the setup you selected above. Our V2 Quiet is the perfect sounding exhaust for the Evo X in my opinion. If anyone has questions don't hesitate to ask!

My car is catless, as in no HFC... Like others have said a resonator might solve the problem if you're ready to hack apart your 1200 exhaust. I personally like the sound of the quiet. Just don't be surprised when it isn't truly "quiet"

I love my ets setup but it is louder than I was expecting but in a good way.

@aysv2 This video was with the ETS test pipe (too loud for me and terrible drone). It's much quieter with the stock cat on (good if you want a low exhaust note once the engine is up to temp). I now run with the ETS catted test pipe and it's my favorite set up. It's quiet like the stock cat when you cruise, but when you put the throttle down it gets louder! Hope this helped!!

 

Got my ETS exhaust system and just got around to installing it today. Let me tell everyone from the initial observation of the exhaust, I can't express enough the QUALITY and Performance that exists with this exhaust. The fitment is perfect and the sound is even better. When I punched it on the highway the car responds like a different world! A LOT more responsive and overall the car feels smoother when hitting boost.
Exhaust sound amazing. Love it.. Love the Evo farts!

any videos out there with the ETS downpipe, HFC, and V2 quiet? Got my V2 quiet installed earlier this month and i LOVE growling around town now. Couldn't be happier with this exhaust!
