Shifter problem

Hey! im pretty sure my shifter has a problem (First manual car) i need help finding what may cause this : Video of the problem

The car is used. I still have a warranty with the dealer. The car goes in gear and the gears works.

You always yank it in gear like that? Holy moly.. No wonder your return spring broke.

Have you done anything to the shifter? installed an aftermarket unit...etc
On the evo 8/9 design this would usually happen if the spring gets out of place or was installed incorrectly. You can remove the center console and inspect it. here is a pic of the evo 8/9 setup.

Previous owner may have installed a short shifter. I llok into the spring issue

Spring looks OK, need grease, i added a lubricant and it was much more smoother than before, still won't go in the middle by itself but a gentle push is enough to put in in position. Will buy lithium grease and see if everything is going to be fixed.

The spring is very tricky when getting installed, I suggest you check it again and maybe snap a pic for us
