Block damage? Irreparable?
I have ran into an X that has a blown engine, just a 2010 GSR with 60K, the owner seems a bit slow... not an enthusiast.
Essentially he says it needs a new block due to a rod failure. My idea is to go ahead and get fully built internals in it since its guts are out anyway, BUT what renders a block completely useless to the point of no return? I understand if there is a hole in the block clean through that about does it, but can a rod failure do that on a stock X? Ill try and go take a good look at it and get pictures as soon as I can.
If a rod smacked the side hard enough that it couldn't be rebored, could i still send it to Buschur and get it sleeved and have everything be fine?
I also am not building a 500+hp evo, but i figured its a good move in the state the evo is already in. How much would it run me overall to get a fully built internal engine put in?
thanks guys.
