Engine/Drivetrain Questions
Engine/Drivetrain Questions
New to Evo (Just got rid of my 2003 Wrangler for a new toy).
Are there any things I should look over and make sure are good?
What are some day to day, or regular easy DIY maintenance, ex. I always used to put fuel injector cleaner in every time I filled the jeep up, yes/no in the evo? Just kind of basic stuff like that, I'm not new to playing mechanic, but I just want to get a feel for what some Evo specific things I need to look for. Or good habits that I might want to make sure I take care of.

Check the general FAQ section. There are some things to look out for if you start experiencing issues. But until then drive it and enjoy it and save some money for when things break. Can't be worse than a jeep though in the reliability department (take no offense please just never met a jeep that wasn't a money pit, both of my Dad's jeeps included). The car takes very well to mods but only start if you are out of warranty or don't care to try and intact a mitsubishi claim. And do the recall on your cmc if it hasn't been done (or go with the evo 9 swap out). Welcome and enjoy.
